ASE equips three additional major railway stations in Holland for Netherlands Railways (NS) and ProRail. In this project, Royal HaskoningDHV realizes the installation planning.
By means of their tracking capabilities, current regulations are examined and modifications regarding dimensioning and security are drafted. Furthermore, the data serves research purposes as well as for planning measures.
Following variables are measured:
- Pedestrian flow at the entrances
- Movement patterns at the platform
- Trajectories (speed and direction)
- Densities
- Overstepping of the safety line
- Train detection
