The city of Lucerne collects, analyzes, and plans: Reliable data on visitor flows is now available for Falkenplatz and Rathausquai.

Falkenplatz and Rathausquai are among the busiest locations in Lucerne's old town. Rathausquai is situated along the Reuss with a view of the Chapel Bridge; pedestrian flows reach it along the quay, from the old town, or via the Rathaussteg.
Falkenplatz is accessed via four alleys and experiences heavy pedestrian traffic due to its central location.
Using the ASE counting system, access to both locations is systematically and anonymously recorded.
The city of Lucerne thus receives reliable data on the temporal and spatial distribution of visitor flows as a basis for planning infrastructure measures, security precautions, and the organization of events within the framework of the Lucerne Tourism Vision 2030.
