In collaboration with FEDRO, ASE has developed a web application that manages more than 140,000 installations for operating and safety equipment on Swiss roads.
The uniform labeling of installations is an important and complex challenge for ensuring many tasks in the lifecycle of the facilities. For replacement and new construction, installations must be correctly described in accordance with FEDRO regulations. This process is complex and involves a great deal of effort for engineers and planning offices. FEDRO recognized the potential for improvement and implemented specific measures. ASE solved this task with a simple generator for system identification (AKS-CH Generator) that is accessible to everyone via the web. This allows the correct codes to be generated quickly and easily. Thanks to the AKS generator, both the workload for planners and the error rate are significantly reduced. In addition, new regulations can be introduced throughout Switzerland with little effort using the tool. A good example of how intelligent applications can help to improve quality and efficiency!
