Population growth and increasing mobility lead to high loads at train stations in Singapore. An experiment in Singapore is investigating the effectiveness of a directional marker for separation in optimising the pedestrian flow at Tampines station.
ASE’s PAS was used to assess the situation and conduct a before-and-after study. A similar study has already been carried out by ASE at Bern station in Switzerland.
