ASE operates the PAS (High Accuracy Pedestrian Analytics System) at Tampines Metro Station. The data is available to the Singapore authorities in high temporal and spatial resolution; including pedestrian densities, counting points and behaviors (such as different walking speeds), as well as accurate trajectories.
Since April 2019, the PAS has been providing basic data on pedestrian behavior in Tampines. Based on the collected data and counts, social force models are created for optimized simulations. This increases comfort in metro stations.
An important step for ASE in Asia.
