ASE simulates effects of fast growing passenger volumes at Basel SBB Station

The train station Basel SBB is one of the biggest border train stations of Europe and the passenger capacity is coming more and more to its limits. Until a long-term solution for additional capacity at the train station is implemented, immediate actions will be taken in order to ensure capacity and safety at the train station for the passengers. These measures were visualized in 3D simulations by ASE as well as analyzed regarding a safe and comfortable pedestrian flow and the functionality of the train station. The results help to identify the optimal future measures.
