Increasing passenger volumes in public transport are also a concern for the German Forschungszentrum Jülich. The “CroMa” research project is investigating how rising passenger numbers influence the safety and performance of railway stations.
The research institute has selected ASE as its partner for a sophisticated passenger flow measurement on an area of 1,000 m2 on the S-Bahn platform of Frankfurt Central Station. The data acquisition will be carried out by a multisensor and is planned for a period of two years.
