City of Amsterdam: A safer accessible and comfortable experience for pedestrians thanks to the unique ASE Crowd Monitor
Kalverstraat in Amsterdam is one of the busiest and most popular shopping streets in Holland. The area is very crowded during high season and events, creating crowded busy situations.
ASE's Crowd Monitor constantly measures the number and concentration of people and passes all the information on to the crowdmanagement team. Using the Crowd Monitors, crowed management team learn more about the gathered data and uses this data to create operational scenarios to provide a safe, accessible and comfortable city. On top of that, previously gathered data are used to optimise the flow on Kalverstraat during various events.
